Whale Housewares Gift Ideas

If you are looking for a gift for someone who loves the sea, sea animals or more specifically whales, then this post is for you. I stumbled upon some really cute whale patterned housewares at West Elm and realized that I wanted to see what other whale marvels I could find. It turns out there are many whale products (in case you have a nautical theme in your house or Moby Dick is your favorite book). Even if your house is not a shrine to the almighty ocean, you can still add a single cute whale to your decor. Why? I’ll tell you why; because these wonderful creatures don’t go out of style. Let’s begin our immersion into whale overload.

Whale Jacquard Towels

You get two different towels in one! Each side has the contrasting pattern of whales than the reverse. If you are feeling like you’d rather have white towels in your bathroom one day and feel like having gray the next day – go right ahead. Just fold them the right way :) These whale patterned towels are available in several sizes including bath towel, hand towel, and wash cloth.

Easter Party Decorations: Cute Chick Theme

Sur La Table has an adorable Easter chick collection. The collection includes chick plates, cups, knives, aprons, and more. These are not any old chicks. They are chubby, super-cute chicks that make me want to have a chick party! Yes, my obession with round, chubby things strikes again. Get ready, there’s a lot of yellow coming up and it will brighten your day.

Chick Mug

Imagine decorating your dessert table with these chubby chick mugs. You can fill them with jelly beans, glazed almonds, foil covered chocolate eggs, or any other type of goodies you plan to fill the easter baskets with. Then again, imagine the chick mugs holding condiments for the party, sugar and cream for coffee; or ketchup, mustard, and mayo for the BBQ. Your other option is to actually use them as adorable mugs and serve your drinks: lemonade, hot chocolate, milk, soda, etc. Regardless of how you plan to add these chick mugs to your Easter party, they will be a huge success.

Easter Candy, Cookies & Cakes

Easter is another Holiday turned into a candy eating fest. This year, you can make an Easter basket with some amazing goodies from Williams Sonoma. Williams Sonoma has teamed up with some of the best chocolatiers, confectionaries, and bakeries around the world to make some amazing goodies to fill up your Easter baskets. They usually do this during holidays and I am always excited about what they put together. I wish it was my job to curate their holiday food collections. Can you imagine tasting desserts from the best places to pick the best ones? If they are looking to add people to that team, I volunteer.

Pastel Colors Rose Petal Cakes

If I was having a massive Easter egg hunt or party I would get one in every color. Imagine a dessert table full of these beautiful cakes. It would look phenomenal. If your responsibility is to bring dessert to the Easter gathering, this is the cake to bring. It looks stunning and I am sure those four layers of cake with frosting also taste delicious. The green cake would also be the perfect dessert for this St. Patrick’s Day celebration. I don’t see green cakes that often, and when I do, they don’t look as good as this one.

Big Hero 6 Partying With Baymax

Who doesn’t love that big ball of chubbyness Baymax? He’s honorable, sweet, smart, strong, funny, and above all adorable. If you’re looking for a theme to your next party, Big Hero 6 is a winner. I hunted down all the Big Hero 6 decorations and party supplies I could find. Here are some cool things I found.

When preparing for a party the first things you need are the basics: plates, napkins, cups & invitations. Once you have these, you can focus on the other decorations and activities you want to have at your party.

Big Hero 6 Lunch Plates

These official Big Hero 6 party plates feature Baymax flying in his mecha outfit with Hiro on his back.

Easter Party Decorations

I like to buy my party decorations online because I have a better selection of cute stuff. However, this means that I need to get started on the party planning and decoration shopping way early. Following that early-worm-gets-the-best-party-decorations-thinking, I decided to get started on sharing Easter party decoration ideas. So for all of you planning an Easter egg hunt, scavenger hunt or good old bunny party I will posting all my findings. You can also find more ideas on my Pinterest Boards for: Easter, Parties: Food, & Party Decorations.

Today, let’s get started with The Land of Nod’s Easter decorations & party kits. The Land of Nod has the most adorable set of Easter party decorations with banners, cookie cutters, bunny ears, plates, cups, egg decorating kits and more.

Easter Party Basic Set

The basic party kit will get you going with the basics you need: paper plates, matching napkins, adorable cups with die cut bunny ear sleeves, cupcake liners and cupcake toppers. Even if you were not considering having cupcakes at your Easter party, the cupcake toppers can decorate pretty much anything from cheese, fruit, cake, or sandwiches. Plus, cupcake liners can be filled with other things. For example, you can fill them with jelly beans that match your party’s theme. With just this kit you have an adorable Bunny Party in the making. For those of you who like to go overboard (like me) I will continue with the rest of their Easter party line. Onward!

Valentines: Romantic Dinner Decor

So I went a little crazy with this post. I found too many cute ideas and had to include most of them. (Yes, this massive post does not mention everything I stumbled upon during my valentine’s saga. There was more, way more stuff.) So I kept the few items that would make the perfect decoration for Valentines’s Day. I wouldn’t necessarily recommend using ALL of the decorations below. It might look like a cupid went on a decorating rampage in your living room. A few of them will achieve the mood you are going for.

Beeswax Candles

Only the finest beeswax is used to produce these slow-burning candles. They’re made in Illinois by the descendants of a French beekeeper who settled there in 1863. His high standards still prevail. Virtually smoke and drip free, the solid beeswax pillars and tapers feature top-quality, woven wicks that ensure even burning.

Valentines: West Elm Gift Guide For Her

I have jumped into a Valentine’s worm hole and have emerged with a vast amount of heart, love and unique ideas to celebrate this holiday. So please be prepared for the bombardment of Valentine’s Day posts that will be flooding Cool Gifting. I hope you are as excited as I am :) I am celebrating my 13th Valentine’s Day. That is bananas! Time just flies by if you’re not paying attention.

The first find I would like to share with you is West Elm’s Valentines Gift Guide For Her. I am a huge fan of West Elm’s style and they have some adorable gift ideas like the heart Tic Tac Toe. How cute are those chubby hearts?!

Heart Tic Tac Toe

West Elm’s take on this classic pastime has a wooden box with a lid that doubles as a playing board. Its iron game pieces are shaped like x’s and hearts (instead of o’s).
